The assembly has a frame (13) including a roller (15) cooperating with a rail (17) to apply pressure on a part of an adhesive film (19) for bonding the adhesive film on a part (21) of a motor vehicle. A support (31) having a contact surface receives and retains the adhesive film such that the entire surface of the film is in contact with the contact surface. An inclination adjustment unit adjusts inclination of the support so as to contact the part of the film on the part of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for depositing an adhesive film on a part of a motor vehicle.
