The device has a removable frame, and an access unit (2) for providing access to an interior of a tank of a nuclear reactor (C). A protective cover (3) is attached to the frame in a removable manner. The access unit is provided with a platform. The frame is provided with a set of radial beams that is interconnected by an open circular ring (14). The circular ring is formed by a set of tubes formed in an arc while leaving a free area for the access unit.
