The unit has a frame engaged or housed in a space (3) or substructure formed in ground, where the ground comprises different successive stepped levels (3.1). The frame is hinged on an inner face of a door to allow receiving of two fire panels (4, 12). The door is articulated to pivot with respect to a chassis by jacks (8) arranged on the ground. A connection and handling arm (16) is coupled to an inner wall of the frame and one of the panels, where the jacks are actuated for lifting or lowering the panels simultaneously by constituting a double-fire barrier.
