Method for controlling electrical traction machine i.e. electrical motor, of hybrid vehicle, involves controlling low rotational speed of electric traction machine by limiting torque according to available theoretical mechanical power
The method involves controlling the rotational speed of an electric traction machine at a low level by limiting torque (T) according to available theoretical mechanical power (P) with reduction electric power according to a law of limitation of torque. The law of limitation of the torque is taken as a linear function of the available theoretical mechanical power. Slope of the linear function is defined by the law of limitation of the torque of approximately 5 Newton meter for the available theoretical mechanical power of 1 kW. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
