PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism to reduce user labor to register cost related to facsimile reception.SOLUTION: When a document is received through facsimile, an MFP 101, which is communicable with an item management server 103 for managing cost separately on an item-by-item basis, transmits a URL so that a confirmation screen of the facsimile reception is displayed (S801). On receiving a confirmation screen request using the transmitted URL, the MFP 101 answers the confirmation screen (S1007). Further, the MFP 101 receives information, input by the user through the confirmation screen, for use for managing the facsimile reception cost, to register the received information into the item management server 103.
