PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway for DICOM(Digital Imaging Communications in Medicine) for managing an image photographed by a DICOM-incompatible modality in an in-hospital system by inspection units.SOLUTION: A gateway for DICOM is configured of: reception means for receiving an inspection image to be output by a modality and patient information corresponding to the inspection image; identifier application means for applying an identifier based on DICOM specifications to each inspection image to be received by the reception means; and transmission means for transmitting the inspection image to which the identifier has been applied to a predetermined server. The identifier application means determines whether to apply the identifier which is the same as or different from that of the previously received inspection image to the inspection image received this time on the basis of the patient information previously received and the patient information received this time by the reception means.
