PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diagnostic and prognostic methods for lung disorders using gene expression profiles from nose epithelial cells.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to methods for diagnosing lung diseases from nasal epithelial cells information using gene expression analysis. More specifically, the invention is directed to diagnostic and prognostic methods for detecting from nasal epithelial cell samples lung diseases, particularly lung cancer in subjects, preferably humans. The invention also provides genes the expression of which can be used to analyze lung diseases from the nasal epithelial cell samples. Accordingly, the invention provides methods for diagnosis, prognosis and follow up of progression or success of treatment for lung diseases using gene expression analysis from nose epithelial cells.
