PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent convenience by allowing a display apparatus to easily control an AV apparatus even when a remote control code kind of the AV apparatus has not been registered concerning an AV system and the display apparatus.;SOLUTION: An AV system includes a TV receiver, a DVD player, and a portable terminal. When a remote control code kind corresponding to the DVD player has not been registered, the TV receiver transmits to the portable terminal, a control command for indicating the DVD player to transmit a remote control signal to indicate "power source ON" in a remote control code kind selected from a remote control code kind list (S15). The portable terminal transmits a remote control signal indicating "power source ON" to the DVD player on the basis of the remote control code kind (S16). When the power source ON of the DVD player is detected (YES in S18), the TV receiver registers a remote control code kind included in a latest control command transmitted to the portable terminal (S19).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
