PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-level medical waste disposal device and medical waste disposal method, capable of satisfying all of securement of work safety, prevention of atmospheric pollution and water contamination, preservation of natural environment, energy recycle and the like, as well as sure sterilization and volume reduction treatment.;SOLUTION: In a medical waste disposal device, when supplying a plastic bag containing medical waste to a cylindrical case and compressing the medical waste with a compressing means by lowering a piston, the plastic bag containing medical is prevented from being broken due to a catch of the plastic bag in a space between the inner wall of the cylindrical case and the piston or rapid compression of the plastic bag by lowering and raising the piston repeatedly to carry out the compression progressively.
