PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform processing for reducing the time required for program selection in a configuration in which a received program is processed.;SOLUTION: A stream acquisition device comprises: a selected program reception unit 42 for performing authentication processing by transmitting and receiving authentication information between itself and a reproduction processing device; and a tuning control unit 33 for making a tuning unit 32 receive a stream corresponding to the program specified in a program selection instruction received from the reproduction processing device after authentication processing is completed. When it receives authentication information containing selected program information indicating the program to be selected from the reproduction processing device or receives the selected program information from the reproduction processing device before authentication processing, the selected program reception unit 42 outputs the selected program information to the tuning control unit 33.
