PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for displaying classical Chinese, that broadens a degree of freedom of a classical Chinese displaying form, and that allows classical Chinese to be studied more effectively.SOLUTION: In a device for displaying classical Chinese, a respective Chinese character and attached information thereof (an annotation, a pronunciation-indicating 'kana', a declensional 'kana' ending, a return mark, a punctuation mark) composing a sentence in classical Chinese are associated and thereby administered for each of the Chinese characters. When displaying a text in classical Chinese, in accordance with display setting data for setting "display" or "non-display" of the respective Chinese characters and their attached information, a regular text (classical Chinese) displaying screen Ga for displaying the Chinese characters and their attached information together, and an unmarked text displaying screen Gb for displaying only the Chinese characters and not their attached information, are switchably displayed. Further, when pen-touching an optional Chinese character or optional attached information that is displayed on the regular text (classical Chinese) displaying screen Ga, a marker is added separately to the pen-touched Chinese character or respective piece of attached information.
