PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a Nyquist point also for a modulated wave on which multi-level modulation has been performed.;SOLUTION: Regarding a modulated wave on which quaternary FSK modulation has been performed, a detection unit 11 performs on N symbols processing for performing sampling (n) times for each symbol to generate distance data indicating a distance to a neighboring convergent point on an eye pattern. A clock reproducing unit 20 calculates a cumulative value obtained by cumulatively adding distance data of an i-th sampling point for an N-symbol term. The clock reproducing unit 20 calculates an inclination between (n) pieces of cumulative values, extracts a Nyquist point from the inclination, and generates a symbol clock in timing of the Nyquist point.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
