PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel frame brace with a simple structure, easy in transportation and excellent in workability on a site.;SOLUTION: In a tensile type steel frame brace, steel flat bars placed in a lateral direction are crossed in a X-shape and are arranged, and a crossing part at the center is integrated in a X-shape by welding, which is combined with and fixed to a gusset plate 21 attached to a steel frame column 10 and a steel frame beam 11 combined with the steel frame column, through a joint metal 30. Because the tensile type steel frame brace does not cause a buckling problem, a shear burden ratio of column and beam frames to the brace, extraction process of a foundation system and a building characteristic period can be adjusted by changing material strength and a cross section so as to increase the degree of freedom in structural design.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
