PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless elastic belt for improving position detection accuracy. PSOLUTION: In this device, in order to put a reflection mark for detecting a moving position on a peripheral part of the outer surface of the endless elastic belt 1, a reflection tape 11 having a fixed width W1 is supplied onto an area for the reflection mark of the endless elastic belt, and the inner surface of the endless elastic belt is held with tension wherein it is placed on a pedestal 8. The device includes a heater member 9 arranged movably up and down above the area for the reflection mark, for hot-stamping the reflection mark onto the endless elastic belt from the reflection tape, and a length W2 of a heating surface of the heater member in the circumferential direction which is a conveyance direction of the endless elastic belt is set wider than the fixed width W1.
