PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer excellent in a light-emitting performance, to provide an organic semiconductor material and a light-emitting material containing the (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer, and to provide a method for producing the (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer. PSOLUTION: There is provided the (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer represented by formula (1), wherein, Ar is phenylene, or thienylene; (n) is an integer of 1 to 5; nAr groups may be each identical or different, provided that at least one of the nAr groups is thienylene.
