PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device, a processing apparatus, and a receiving method for a burst optical signal, capable of suppressing a decrease in the efficiency of receiving the burst optical signal without generating nor processing a new optical signal.;SOLUTION: The burst optical signal receiving device connected as a processing apparatus through a capacity means includes a converting means of converting a bursts optical signal into a burst electric signal and for output of it once photodetecting the burst optical signal, a generating means of generating an electric pulse signal, and a providing means of providing the burst signal for the processing apparatus through the capacity means when the burst signal is output or providing the pulse signal for the processing apparatus through the capacity means when not.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
