Provided is an electronic book provision system to facilitate recognition by a user of an advertisement. An electronic book acquisition unit (104) acquires an electronic book in which tags indicating phrases to be replaced within the text of the electronic book, which are to be replaced by advertising phrases related to an advertisement, have been set within the text thereof. An advertising phrase acquisition unit (106) acquires storage contents of an advertising phrase storage unit (102), in which the advertising phrases have been associated with the phrases to be replaced or the tags and stored therein. An advertising phrase insertion unit (108) inserts the advertising phrases within the text of the electronic book on the basis of the tags included within the text of the electronic book and the storage contents of the advertising phrase storage unit (102). An output control unit (202) outputs the electronic book for which the insertions of the advertising phrases by the advertising phrase insertion unit (108) have been performed to output means included in a terminal device (20).
