PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict the weather of the area of a railroad station and around the station. PSOLUTION: In predicting the weather at a prescribed time as to a C station, for instance, this system for predicting the weather obtains the weather information as to the C station and A and B stations located within a prescribed number of stations from the C station, and analyzes a time-series change of the weather information, using the obtained weather information. From the result of the analysis, the system predicts the weather at the prescribed time (e.g. T1) as to the C station. Concretely, it predicts that the weather at the time T1 is "rain" as to the C station, from the point of view that the weather of the B station located nearer to the C station than the A station changed into the rain, that the weather of the B station changed "finerain" 20 minutes before and further that the "rain" continues at each station while several observation times have elapsed.
