PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin processing method for a heat sink made of an extruded aluminum material that simply executes fin processing and inexpensively produce a heat sink having high heat dissipation performance without causing burrs at the base of each fin.;SOLUTION: The fin processing method is configured as follows. An extruded aluminum material 1 has a plurality of fins 3, 3, ... perpendicularly erected on a substrate 2 at intervals P. Each fin is divided into a plurality of columns 3a, 3b, 3a, 3b, ... in the extrusion direction by forming cuts 4 in the lateral direction perpendicular to the extrusion direction in the fins so as to bite into the substrate 2. A processing die 5 is suitable for the plurality of fins from the side of the fin tip so as to simultaneously surround the plurality of fins 3b, 3b, ... in the same column over a fixed range in the height direction.
