PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufacturable drive shaft for an ATV.;SOLUTION: This drive shaft is equipped in the ATV, and transmits driving force to a wheel via a constant velocity universal joint on the inboard side and the outboard side. The undercut-free type constant velocity universal joint J1 is used on the outboard side, and the double-offset type constant velocity universal joint J2 is used on the inboard side. In the undercut-free type constant velocity universal joint J1, an outer ring 2 is manufactured via a processing process such as forging, machining, serration, screw rolling, induction hardening and spherical grinding, and an inner ring 4 is manufactured via a processing process such as forging, machining, a serration broach, carburized quenching and spherical grinding, and matching for determining a pair of the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 4 for making a pair, is abolished.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
