An indaniline dye represented by the following formula (1): wherein R1 and R2 represent an unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms; R3 represents an unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; provided that the total number of the carbon atoms of R1, R2 and R3 is 6 or 7.
