PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a directory hierarchy automatically reflecting the latest information with minimized maintenance cost in generating the directory hierarchy by a directory hierarchy generation device.;SOLUTION: The directory hierarchy generation device holds a high-order directory hierarchy and a keyword profile that is a group of keywords characterizing the high-order directory in directory hierarchy generation. The device forms a keyword profile or keyword cluster of each content using a retrieval log acquired for each retrieval by a retrieval site for retrieving contents, then calculates the similarities of the respective keywords, and arranges each content under each directory having the similarity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
