PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION FOR CONTRACEPTION AND RISK REDUCTION OF CONGENITAL MALFORMATION. The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation for contraception containing in a daily dose -2.0 mg or 1.5 mg of 17α-cyanomethyl-17-B-hydroxystra-4,9-dien-3-one (dienogest) and 0.015 mg 17α-ethynyl estradiol (ethinyl estradiol) and (6S) -5-methyl tetrahydrofolate, preferably as (6S) -5-methyl tetrahydrofolic acid (metapholine) calcium salt together with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable co-adjuvants or vehicles . The pharmaceutical preparation according to the invention performs both oral contraception and a means for minimizing the risk of congenital malformations.
