A traffic information system may comprise a plurality of these traffic information units. The invention further comprises a vehicle management system (C) for a target vehicle (70B, 70E) that is capable of receiving and using the vehicle state information and a vehicle provided therewith is provided. Additionally a method for controlling traffic is provided.
