The present invention is related to a process for removing the pod from Vicia Faba L. This process basically consists in subjecting the seeds with hulls of Vicia faba to a thermal chemical treatment based on NaOH and a washing system with acidified water. The resulting seeds have no superficial damage and are complete without losing their sensorial quality.
