The present invention refers to plates for compressing the placenta insertion site used in case of placenta previa, which comprises: A plate-axis, figure 2, which is formed by a primary plate (2.1) having a fixed threaded bar (2.2) and two machined planes (2.4). This bar (2.2) has a diameter reduction (2.3,) equally threaded in the end opposite the primary plate (2.1). A secondary plate, figure 3, with a bore (3.2) having a diameter and shape suitable to be introduced into the bar (2.2). A punch, figure 4, with a conical-shaped tip (4.1) and a threaded bore (4.2) in the opposite end is threaded to the diameter reduction (2.3). The thread and locknut, figure 5, are threaded to the bar (2.2). A cover, figure 6, with a semi-spherical end portion (6.1) and an inner thread (6.2) in the remaining end portion is threaded in the diameter reduction (2.3). The punch, figure 4, may perforate the anterior and posterior walls of the uterus corresponding to the placenta insertion site. The punch is subsequently removed, figure 4, and the secondary plate introduced, figure 3. The primary plate (2.1) is brought into contact with the secondary plate (3.1) in a manual form until obtaining the enough pressure for preventing the placenta insertion site from bleeding. The thread (5.1) is placed for maintaining the pressure that was manually obtained and the locknut (5.2) fixed for attaching the thread (5.1). Finally, the safety cover, figure 6, is threaded.
