599267 Disclosed is a soft contact lens which, whilst ensuring sufficient light around an image, is adaptable to the correction of short-sightedness, long sightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia, etcetera. A soft contact lens is provided with a light shielding section (10) which shields the light coming into the cornea, and a lens body (16) which coats the front and back surfaces of the light shielding section (10). The lens body (16) has a larger diameter than that of the light shielding section (10), and is formed from a light permeable material which transmits the incoming light. The light shielding section (10) comprises: a light shielding section body (18), formed from light shielding material; a pin hole (12) which is provided in the light shielding body (18) in the position containing the optical axis connecting the centre of the cornea and the retina; and a plurality of minute holes (14) which are provided surrounding the pin hole (12). The soft contact lens is adaptable to the correction of any of: short-sightedness, long sightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia, by using the depth of field of the pin hole (12). Furthermore, due to the plurality of minute holes (14) surrounding the pin hole (12), the lens ensures sufficient night vision (brightness) around an image whilst maintaining its light shielding properties.
