The invention relates to a method for determination of steroid hormones in aqueous matrix, by solid-phase micro extraction, on-fibre derivatization and detection. According to the invention, a polyacrylate fibre of 85 μ m is immersed into the drinking water sample placed in a flask provided with a septum, under magnetic stirring, at 25...45°C, for 100...120 min, then NaCl is added for decreasing the hormone solubility, the analytes are on-fibre derivatized by silylation with N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyl-triflouro-acetamide, at 25...40°C, for 40...60 min, after which the silylated hormone derivatives are simultaneously determined by gaseous chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.
