METHOD FOR USING POT TOBACCO PLANTS FOR KILLING WESTERN FLOWER THRIPS

A method for using pot tobacco plants for killing the western flower thrips provides for releasing entomophages while settling 10 % protecting plants with the pest. On protected area tobacco plants are grown in pots on a substrate with a 80 % content of sphagnum peat, 10 % sand and 10 % chernozem soil, which after appearance of stem and stalk hairs and isolating of an attracting sticky substance, are put up among the crops being grown prior to settling the western flower thrips in an equivalent of 1 per 3-.
