Specific inhibitors of pancreatic lipase and their applications in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease, hyperlipemia and obesity, as well as diagnostic reagent and as regulatory agent in a method of controlled lipolysis of triglycerides. Said inhibitors correspond in particular to a peptide consisting of a C-terminal fragment of pancreatic lipase including the site of recognition of a colipase.
