Contractors Calendar is a web based application which enables skilled professionals the opportunity to forecast and advertise their immediate and upcoming availability for contract work on the purpose built employment and workforce planning website. Prospective employers visiting the website are able to identify and make contact with those professionals that have identified themselves as being available to work in the timeframes the prospective employer requires their services.

#$%^&*AU2013100333A420130418.pdf#####ABSTRACT A web-based Oil & Gas and Mining (figure 1, label 2) contract employment and workforce planning site, that provides a centralised forum for industry professionals to market their skills, experience and qualifications, as well as identify their immediate and upcoming availability using a calendar forecast tool to those prospective employers shown in (figure 1, label 4). Skilled employees create a personal profile by answering specific questions relating to their Personal Details, Resources Experience, Qualifications, Tickets & Medical Details, and Employment history (figure 1, labels 1 & 3). When creating their own personal profile, the skilled professional is able to identify his or her immediate or upcoming availability to work by using the calendar forecast tool (figure 2, label 1), specifically selecting days of availability and unavailability (figure 2, label 2). The individual using the tool can forecast their own availability to work months in advance (figure 2, label 3). Using the candidate search function identified in figure 3, prospective employers are able to search for relevant industry professionals (figure 3, label 1). The user of the search function enters a series of screening criteria into the search fields provided (figure 3, label 2), as well as identifying the start (figure 3, label 3) and finish (figure 3, label 4) dates of upcoming work they require the employee for. Once all fields are entered according to the criteria required by the prospective employer, the user activates the search by clicking on Search button (figure 3, label 5).Candidate results are then displayed, and the prospective employer can sort the results into hierarchical order according to the candidates availability (figure 4, label 1), and also be provided with a reference of suitability according to the previously entered search criteria (figure 4, label 2).
