USING IMAGE MATCH TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE IMAGE ADVERTISEMENT QUALITY

Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer readable media having computer programs encoded therein are disclosed for providing advertising contents to a user in response to an image search request to be performed on the Internet. A search phrase is input for performing the image search on the Internet. A search for Internet contents is performed to identify the contents that match the received search phrase. Images associated with each of the matching contents are compared with images associated with advertisements stored in an advertisement database, to determine which advertisements have associated images corresponding to any of the images associated with the matching contents. Based on display data provided to a client computer, each of the matching contents can thus be displayed at the client computer with associated images, along with the advertisements having associated images corresponding to any of the matching contents.
