BAB-TYPE TRI-BLOCK COPOLYMER COMPRISING POLYLACTIC ACID (A) AND POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (B), METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM USING SAME
The present invention relates to a BAB-type tri-block copolymer comprising polylactic acid (A) as a hydrophilic block and polyethylene glycol (B) as a hydrophobic block, to a method for producing same, and to a drug delivery system using same. The BAB tri-block copolymer can be usefully used as a medical drug system by enabling hydrophobic drugs such as anticancer drugs to be sealed, and can also improve treatment efficacy by binding a target substance through a change of a functional group at a terminal of polyethylene glycol. Furthermore, a contrast agent for diagnosis is bonded to the activated terminal of polyethylene glycol to produce an intelligent polymer which enables diagnosis and treatment as well as delivery of drugs for treatment. Since the production method of the BAB-type tri-block copolymer used in the present invention has advantages such as a simple production process and ease of mass production due to a shortened reaction time, it is possible to apply and develop the copolymer as a drug delivery system.
