An optimization method for electric arc furnace (EAF) current set value based on temperature field model is provided. The optimization method belongs to metallurgical field. The process is as follows: sets the initial parameters of the EAF three-phase power level, comprising: the radius R0 of the furnace, the electrode radius r0, the distance D0 between electrodes; adds material to the EAF by batch; establishes the EAF temperature field model; optimizes the current set value of the EAF three-phase power level; melts at the current set value; establishes the EAF temperature field model by finite difference method, and establishes the energy consumption model on this basis, optimizes the current set value of the EAF in segments by particle swarm optimization, saves energy consumption.
