PROCESS FOR MERCERIZING COTTON STRIP AND MERCERIZATION DEVICE THEREFOR

Disclosed are a process for mercerizing cotton strips and a mercerization device therefor, belonging to the technical field of textiles. The process is as follows: a. pre-treatment of the cotton strips: wetting the cotton strips, and dewatering or wringing, so as to prepare wet cotton strips having a certain liquid loading; b. reeling of the cotton strips: reeling the wet cotton strips on a hank reeling machine, and fixing the cotton strips with tie bands; c. coating: coating the tied cotton strips with a wrapper, such that the cotton strips are integrated with the wrapper; d. mercerization: mercerizing same by concentrated spraying and instant squeezing. The cotton strips are effectively mercerized by the wetting of the cotton strips and the addition of powerful and concentrated spraying and instant squeezing, such that the base loading on the cotton strips is always under control, thereby preventing the cotton strips from being dissolved due to over-swelling and solving the problem that the cotton strips cannot be mercerized in an untwisted state. The mercerized cotton strips are glossy and bright, are fluffy to the touch, and have a 20-30% increase in the colour yield of dyeing.
