The bracelet (1) has a strap (2) having locking collars (3,4) which are arranged on opposite sides of an identification area (5), respectively. An adhesive layer (16) is covered on a lower side (11) of the strap. The identification area is symmetrically arranged with respect to a fold axis (6) which is approximately parallel to the locking collars extending along the connecting axis. The adhesive layer covered symmetrical regions of the identification area are completely laid on one another, by folding up the strap along the fold axis. An independent claim is included for method for fastening of patient bracelet at a wrist.
