The invention relates to an yttrium iron garnet ferrite for microwave components, characterized in that its general formula is YaTRbBicFedAleIn1CagCuhZriVjCokSiIO12±?, where: -1 = ? = 1; 3(a+b+c+d+e+f) + 2(g+h+i) + 4(i+l) +5j = 24 ± 2?; 1 = a = 3.5; 0 = b = 1.5; 0.1 = c = 1, preferably 0.65 = c = 1; 4 = d = 5; 0 = e = 1.5; 0 = f = 0.8; 0 = g = 1; 0.01 = h = 0.05; 0 = i = 0.2; 0 = j = 0.8; 0 = k = 0.5 and 0 = I = 0.5 and where TR is a rare earth preferably chosen from Gd, Dy, Ho or a mixture of rare earths. The invention also relates to processes for manufacturing such a ferrite and a microwave component including it, and to a microwave component thus obtained.
