PURPOSE: A wind power generation system and method for additionally installing a wind power generator are provided such that changes in power output are restricted without the large capacity of a storage battery. CONSTITUTION: A wind power generation system comprises one or more storage battery devices, a generated power detector, a charge/discharge power detector, and a control device. The generated power detector detects the output of a wind power generator. The charge/discharge power detector detects the charged and discharged electricity in the storage battery device. The control device controls the charging and discharging of the storage battery. The control device controls the system power of the existing wind power generator, corresponding to the sum of the generated power and the charged and discharged power so that the changes in output with a predetermined cycle are below the pre-calculated power changes or power change rate.
