PURPOSE: A device for providing a community service through a portable terminal, and a method thereof are provided to create a community based on contents, and to conveniently manage user responses compared to a URL-based community.;CONSTITUTION: A contents information analyzer(204) analyzes information about contents, and provide a contents server with the analyzed information, when user responses to contents playing are registered.
