PURPOSE: A smoke reduction device for a diesel engine of a ship is provided for fuel supplied into the engine to be completely burned in a cylinder as an electric signal about engine rotary power is converted into a time relay signal.;CONSTITUTION: A smoke reduction device for a diesel engine of a ship comprises a lambda cylinder assembly(60) which adjusts the rotary angle of a driving shaft(31) according to the operation of a mechanical governor. The lambda cylinder assembly comprises a cylinder body(61) and a stopper(63). The cylinder body comprises a piston(62) and a scavenging air inlet hole. The piston reciprocates by a piston pressing portion. Some of scavenging air supplied to a combustion chamber from a turbocharger flows in through the scavenging air inlet hole. The stopper interlocks with the mechanical governor and pushes a piston.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
