PURPOSE: A strip breakage processing method is provided to improve productivity by preventing damage to a facility due to a strip breakage, by stopping the steel sheet transferring role after a certain amount of time.;CONSTITUTION: A strip breakage processing method comprises the following steps: determining(S100) a strip breakage during steel sheet rolling; stopping(S200) a rolling line by stopping(S220) the rotation of a rolling roll while separating(210) a rolling roll(100) from a steel sheet to prevent damage of a facility by decreasing the length of mass flow in a steel sheet rolling. The separation step(S210) of a rolling roll includes the separation of one from the other between the upper part rolling roll(110) and the lower part rolling(120) roll by lifting up or down one of the upper and the lower part rolling roll. The rolling roll stopping step includes the operation for stopping the rotation of the rolling roll by gradually degrading the rotation speed.
