PURPOSE: A diameter server state monitoring apparatus capable of detecting a problem occurring in an actually connected client in real time and a method thereof are provided to diagnose a server state more accurately and take appropriate measures according to the diagnosed state.;CONSTITUTION: A monitoring module unit(400) performs communications using a message transceiver and an external IP(Internet Protocol). The monitoring module unit generates a monitoring message. The monitoring module unit transmits the generated monitoring message to an application module unit. The monitoring module unit receives a response message from the application module unit. The monitoring module unit analyzes the response message.
