PURPOSE: A method for screening a material which prevents or treats liver cancer using a molecular marker for cancer stem cells and liver cancer is provided to accurately diagnosing liver cancer or cancer. CONSTITUTION: A kit for diagnosing liver cancer or analyzing liver cancer prognosis contains a binder which specifically binds to a protein of sequence number 1, 3, or 5 or a probe or a primer which specifically binds to a polynucleotide of sequence number 2, 4, or 6. A kit is a kit for immunoassay. A method for screening a material which prevents or treats liver cancer comprises a step of contacting a sample with a cell or a tissue containing the protein or polynucleotide; and a step of measuring expression level of the protein or polynucleotide.
