MICROBIAL FUEL CELL HAVING MEMBRANE FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND METHOD FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A microorganism fuel cell is provided to stably and continuously treat waste water, to remove suspended materials, harmful microorganism, virus, and pollutants, and to generate electric energy with high electricity density. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism fuel cell comprises an anode part; a cathode part; an electrode connection part which electrically connects the anode part and the cathode part; a waste water supply part connected to the anode part; an output water exhaust part connected to the cathode part; and a water treatment membrane which separates the anode part and the cathode part. The water treatment membrane is an ultrafiltration membrane or precise filtration membrane. The molecular weight cut-off range of the water-treatment membrane is 1-30 kDa. The anode electrode of the anode part is one selected from stainless steel mesh, carbon felt, and carbon paper.
