PURPOSE: A local screen and a method for the screening out of magnetic resonance signals are provided to reduce the interfering influence of regions of a patient of an object under examination that are not of interest.;CONSTITUTION: A local screen for screening out magnetic resonance signals from an object under examination during magnetic resonance imaging with a magnetic resonance device comprises the followings: a plurality of local screen elements (2) which is electrically conductive; a carrier device (9) which accommodates the local screen elements; a plurality of switching devices (3) which is connected in an electrically conductive manner to the plurality of local screen elements, the plurality of switching devices being designed such that each electrical resistance of the switching devices is controllable by a plurality of screen control signals (S); and a plurality of screen control signal input units (17) for the plurality of screen control signals. The local screen elements are arranged such that no direct electrically conductive connection pertains between the local screen elements.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
