PURPOSE: A heat spreader and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to effectively control heat generated from electronic devices and to reduce the sizes of the electronic devices. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a heat spreader includes the following: natural graphite is oxidized and expanded; highly thermal conductive nano-sized carbide and nitride such as C, SiC, Bn, and AlN are dispersed in horizontal interlayer pores to be vacuum-filled without coagulation; a compressive molding process is implemented using a roller or a press; and the resultant product is in the form of a sheet or a plate. Ammonium polycarboxylate, sodium polycarboxylate, sodium dodecylsulfate, and ethylene glycol are further added into the product as a dispersing agent.
