PURPOSE: A method of calculating an induced current in seconds using geomagnetic field observation data solves a time delay problem of an existing induced current calculation and prevents detection time errors of the induced current. CONSTITUTION: An operating device with specific arithmetic calculation programming collects geomagnetic field observation data in seconds observed from a geomagnetic field measurement sensor (S110). The operating device calculates the maximum value, the minimum value, and a time interval of the collected geomagnetic field observation data in seconds in the range of the time interval (S120). The operating device obtains a difference value between the calculated maximum value and minimum value or a slope of a time interval difference (S130). The operating device calculates an induced current in seconds by applying a correlation coefficient as a characteristic coefficient of a transformer and a power transmission line in which the geomagnetic field measurement sensor is installed to the obtained difference value and slope (S140).
