A polynucleotide comprising: a) at least one nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide having desaturase or elongase activity; b) at least one seed-specific plant promoter operably linked to said nucleic acid sequence as defined in a); c) at least one terminator sequence operably linked to said nucleic acid sequence; and d) one or more nucleic acid expression enhancing nucleic acid molecules (NEENA) operably linked to said promoter and which / which are / are heterologous with respect to to said promoter; and to said polypeptide as defined in a) .2. A polynucleotide according to claim 1, comprising: e) at least one nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide having beta-ketoacyl reductase activity; f) at least one nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide having a dehydratase activity, and / or g) at least one nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide having enoyl-CoA reductase activity, wherein the nucleic acid sequences as defined in e) to g) are heterologous with respect to said polypeptide having desaturase or elongase activity. 3. A polynucleotide according to claim 1 or 2, comprising at least one nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide having acyltransferase activity, wherein the nucleic acid sequence is heterologous with respect to said polypeptide having desaturase,
