FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: method of detonation combustion of fuel mix continuously fed into straight-flow combustion chamber at supersonic velocity consists in using air-hydrogen invariable-composition mix to be directed into axisymmetric convergent-divergent nozzle channel parallel with axis and combusted in steady-state self-sustaining detonation wave. Detonation wave originates in expanded part of the channel with monotone increasing shape of convergent-divergent sections provided the following conditions are satisfied: gas velocity at channel inlet exceeds Chapman-Zhuge in stoichiometric air-hydrogen flow.;EFFECT: creation of high-enthalpy supersonic flow used in motion of bodies in air.;4 dwg
