As an example, calculation data for a 400 MW(el.) nuclear reactor with core dimensions (D=H=180 cm) are given: core volume=4578120 cm.3, mass of salt filler=10772 kg. Uranium-233 conversion ratios can be KBAZ=0.3, and when using a blanket region made from thorium dioxide, overall KB can reach 1.2.;EFFECT: enabling switching of the nuclear reactor to a mode of using uranium-233, obtained by converting thorium-232, with periodic filling of the core with thorium.
